The Sultanate of Oman is a beautiful country in the Middle East. Its tourism industry is growing very fast. Many big hotels are opening, so they need good waiters and waitresses right now. If you have experience as a waiter, waitress, or restaurant server, Oman can be a great place for you to work and earn money. In Oman, every foreign worker needs a company to sponsor them. This system is called the Kafala system. The hotel that hires you will do almost all the visa work for you. Your main job is to give the correct documents on time.
This guide uses very simple English and explains everything step by step so you can understand easily.
Essential Requirements for Waiter Roles
Hotels in Oman want people who are ready to work from day one. The basic needs are not too hard, but you must meet them.
Core Skills & Experience You Need
- Good English speaking – you must talk clearly with guests.
- Nice smile and friendly behaviour – guests like happy staff.
- At least 1–2 years experience as a waiter/waitress in a hotel or restaurant.

If you also know how to make coffee (barista) or serve drinks (bartender), it is a bonus.
Best Ways to Find the Job
Most people get Oman hotel jobs through agencies. Very few get jobs by applying directly.
- Use good recruitment agencies. Examples:
- NADIA Global
- Teleport Manpower (very popular for Pakistani people)
- Other agencies that send workers to Gulf countries.
- Check hotel websites directly. Big hotel groups like:
- Shangri-La, Kempinski, Alila, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hilton, Marriott, Rotana, Anantara in Muscat and Salalah always need waiters.
- Look on Facebook groups and WhatsApp groups for “Oman Hotel Jobs 2025”.
